About Saffron Studio

Building websites that mean business

Before Saffron Studio, I worked at Apple, where the standard for digital products was simple: make complex things feel clear, useful, and carefully made. That expectation still shapes how I build websites today.

Saffron Studio started from a familiar small-business frustration: too many websites look polished enough at first glance, but do not explain the business clearly, load quickly, or help the right people take action. I wanted to build sites with more care than that.

The work grew from there. Local business owners needed someone who could understand the commercial problem, shape the online presence, and then build the website properly. Not a template, not a bloated platform, and not a generic agency process.

Too many small businesses around here are stuck with slow, outdated websites that don't reflect how good they actually are. Template sites that look like everyone else. WordPress installs held together with plugins and prayers. I got tired of watching brilliant local businesses lose out online because their website was letting them down.

Together, we build a different kind of website. It starts with me understanding your business. Who your customers are, how you want them to feel when they land on your site, what makes you worth choosing. Then I hand-code every page around that. Fast, focused, and designed for real people, not just search engines. No bloat, no shortcuts, no compromises.

My Approach

How I work

Three principles behind every project.

No Templates

Every site is designed from a blank canvas. Your business is unique, and your website should be too.

Performance First

I build for 95+ Lighthouse scores as standard — because performance is a feature, not a bonus.

Long-Term Partnership

A website isn't a one-off project. I provide ongoing hosting, updates, and support so your site keeps performing.

Local Roots

Based in Croydon, working with businesses across the UK

I live and work in Croydon. I know the local business community, and I'm invested in seeing it thrive online. But great web design isn't limited by geography. I work with clients across South London and beyond.

The name Saffron comes from Croydon itself. The borough's name means “saffron valley.” The area was once known for growing the world's most valuable spice. Something rare, something local, something crafted with care.
